Vivo - weekday promotion set meal

Can never decide what to eat? Try vivo's set meal! 

Grilled fish fillet panini (with cheesy mayo.)

RM12.90 

The bread was really soft and fluffy, loved the panini! & they were quite generous with their fish fillet.

Tropical BBQ chicken chop (Specially marinated chicken chop baked with pineapple slices and laced with a rich, full flavour sweet hickory BBQ sauce.) 

The smell was really inviting! and the bbq goes well with the chicken.

Overall, I think it's okay because it just comes with fries, and there's no drinks! but you can order plain water. So if you can never finish your drink after your meal, you can always choose vivo! :D

Waffle World!!!

Who doesn't like waffles? C'mon, they are so delicious! (taste like pancakes too, haha) So we decided to try Waffle World at the One Utama branch!

Carrot Orange Juice- RM5.50

It's definitely fresh! HOWEVER, too much carrot taste, can't really taste the orange... And the taste its a little blend.. But I guess its a healthier choice?

Ice guava juice- RM5.50

obviously NOT fresh, straight from some bottle! Nothing special about this though :( Not worth RM5.50.

Ice Honey Green Tea- RM5.00

OK, you might say that this doesn't worth the RM5. But it does!! Super refreshing, tasty and nice!

WW Burger- RM17.50

YES, you must be wondering: Why the heck are they trying these food and there's nothing about waffles? WELL, we wanna try other things and give you guys a review! So you can decide whether to have lunch OR just waffles here! :D

ANYWAYS, This dish... TASTED WEIRD. Chicken was soft and tender, BUT there were some weird taste that I cannot describe it in words! Ate almost a ligament that was as hard as a bone.. Pickles in the burger was BAD. Fries were the typical soggy fries. This dish: 3/10

Cantonese Yee Mee

Hmm... NOT BAD. Typical Asian cuisine.

Nasi Lemak Rendang-RM16.00

Typical nasi lemak as well.....

We've also tried their waffles before, unfortunately we didn't manage to take any pictures of it! (too indulged with the waffles *drools*)

You can definitely try their waffles, I'm not very sure if it's like the fresh ones, like they make in-store (because the waffles were really hard-- especially if you order their waffle sandwich)

Our all time favorite chicken shop (so far) : NANDO's!!!!

Chicken Soup (RM7.90- with garlic bread)

IF you have Jusco/Aeon card, present this when ordering your meal.. You'll get free soup! (this was at the MidValley outlet, so we are not sure whether it applies to other outlets, but no harm trying right?)
Soup was really thick, when you drink, taste like mushroom soup at first... Then it taste like porridge, it burns when its down at your throat! I guess there's too much pepper? But not bad for a free soup! :)

Meal Platter-(RM53: 2 person, whole chicken+2 sides+ 2 bottomless drinks)

On the left is Lemon and Herb PERI-PERI and on the right is Mild (level of spiciness). The share is for 2 persons, but since there were 4 people, each had one piece of the chicken.
If you don't like spicy, you can option for Lemon and Herb.. But I wouldn't recommend that. The LEAST you can try is MILD. The chicken definitely taste nicer with mild. IF you're more adventurous, you can go for HOT or EXTRA HOT. They are seriously spicy.

Sides - Coleslaw and chips

Don't they LOOK healthy?




We actually prefer the potato wedges more than the chips. Better choice! Order a salad if  you don't want to feel so guilty!




If you think that you won't be that full with a piece of chicken and some potato wedges, you can order Mediterranean rice! You will be super FULL! Delicious!!!

We definitely recommend trying this place out! FOOD is GREAT! If you're a chicken lover, make sure to check this place out!

Paddington house of pancakes

How can you not love pancakes?! Paddington house of pancakes is obviously specialised in pancakes, so I'm sure this won't go wrong (like The bee), right? Don't remember what was this called but you can choose between small stack (3 pancakes) or the bigger one which is 6, I decided to go with 3. It's served with banana puree and I loved it so much! Something different from just pancakes & maple syrup. It goes so so SOOO well with the pancake and the scent just makes you drool & crave for more. Also served with icecream, strawberries and peaches, at least you don't feel so guilty eating JUST pancakes. (heh :p)

What I love about their pancakes is that you don't get very jelat after eating it and it's so light and fluffy!

Backerei.. Bakery?

Are you a bakery lover? Well, head down to BACKEREI now!!!

This restaurant is located behind/in a car showcase.. (Renault i think) which is really cool.

I brought my friends here for lunch, i really recommend this place! I love this place so much!

Cheeseburger (RM14.90)

A juicy 200g Australian beef burger with cheese served with chunky chips.

I ordered this because the last time i was here, my guy friends told me that the beef was really good. I tried it and its true. I love it! Compared to MyBurgerLab, the patty is a little smaller. But i like a simple burger, that's why i love this burger very much. Although, Backerei could be more generous in giving more fries?? hmmm. Either way, rating this with 8/10.

Paprika Chicken (RM 15.50)

Exciting pan-fried paprika chicken breast, served with chunky chips. 

The sauce was good. This dish was not bad, probably a 7/10. You can see that the fries and the salad looks really pathetic! Hahhaah, but other than that, the chicken was good. 

Pesto spaghetti con gamberi (RM 9.90)

Spaghetti in exquisite pesto sauce with yummy prawns.

say WHUTTTT?! RM9.90 for this deliciously scrumptious plate of spaghetti?! Get outta' here! This dish was fantastic. Very reasonable price for a very delicious meal. Awesome! 9/10 for this!

Mixed seafood spaghetti (RM9.90)

say WHUTTT again?! Delicious! Fantastic. The sauce was really good! Although i liked the previous spaghetti more! But this dish deserves a 9/10 as well!

Definitely recommend going to this place. Overall, 9/10. Really nice place! If you want to have brunch or lunch, definitely the perfect place to have 'em.

If you need some landmark, it's very near Jaya33 (section 17); same row as DUMC (Dream Centre Church).

Chilli Rush

"WHAT-TO-EAT-WHAT-TO-EAT?"

Don't we all face this problem ALL the time for lunch or dinner?

Well, my friends and I decided to try: CHILLI RUSH. 

This restaurant looks really high class, fancy and all..... But anyways, we ordered a few dishes to give you guys a  review!

Super Duper Chicken Sandwich (RM14.90)

Wanted to be a little "healthy" (ok, i know there's chips), so i went with this! Really good BUT.......

The other side of the sandwich was burnt! this was just part of it... Anyways, in this sandwich:

-Lean chicken slices (Only 1 PIECE of chunk of the lean chicken)

-Shredded salad leaves (really super shredded)

-Tomatoes&Onions

-Sealed with our (chilli rush) choicest whole meal/french bread

with sour cream and mustard dressing (DID NOT taste any mustard dressing though, maybe it was there but super light)

Overall, i give this a 6/10... Not bad.. Fries were soggy. 

Chips with cheese (RM7.90)

Deep fried thick cut chips topped with home made cheesy topping

YEAH. Wondering where's the cheese? Not as great as Tony Roma's or Betty's.. This dish was rated by my friend a 2/10.
However, when we asked to add a little bit more cheese......

OK, a little bit more...

The service is good. BUT, i think they added a TINY BIT more cheese. Totally not worth it for a plate of fries@RM7.90! Even MyBurgerlab has wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better fries and cheaper than this! Cheese was harden when it arrived. Not good.

Now, Chilli Rush has some sort of Lunch Set.. Its called: All you can eat "PASTA MANIA" for RM17.90++

There are 6 choices of pasta:

1) Veggie Galore (obviously we didn't try this, HAHA we love meat bro)

2) Intense Jalapeno n/ Shrimp

3) Arabiata w/grilled chicken

4) Sausage Carbonara

5) Creamy Mushroom Hummus

6) Anchovies aglio olio with mashed egg 

+ Free flow of Salad

+   "      "      " Soup

+ Ice Lemon Tea 

*Available on weekdays 11.30am-3.00pm

Intense Jalapeno n/Shrimp

Alright! This dish was spicy yo! Intense+Jalapeno=WOOH, spicy! According to friend: Not so good, spicy and sour taste. Prawns NOT fresh and very little. 

> well, I was OK with this dish, for me, i couldn't take the spiciness. so yeah.  

Arabiata w/ grilled chicken

This was the BEST dish among the 5. This was really tasty. Very delicious. The tomato flavor in this dish brought out the 'taste'- that crave for more food! 

Sausage Carbonara

Gotta say that their presentation was good. However for this dish... According to friend: Sauce too thick, creamy but a little blend

> WOW, she's a more strict food critic than me! :P i thought that this was okay, the sauce was not that bad, but i agreed that something was missing, a little blend for the sauce.

Anchovies aglio olio w Mashed eggs

This was basically a western version of mamak maggi goreng. NONONONO. I personally did not like it at all. it was terrible to be honest. (sorry)

You can't taste the mashed egg AT ALL. This was the worst for me...

Creamy Mushroom Hummus

According to friend: Taste like Roti Canai (Indian bread) sauce with planta

When you first put into your mouth, you'll be like 'mmhmm', ok, not that bad, some carbonara sauce.. and THEN, there's some weird taste that clashed with the carbonara sauce (i think) and the whole dish was...not good... Friend couldn't even finish this dish!!! She forced herself to finish it all! I had so much fun laughing at her eating it! Thank God i didn't go for this.. i would regret it for sure! haha

The "rule" if you order PASTA MANIA:

you can't:- Taste, Share, Waste (will be charged)

SO, Overall...... my friends will NEVER come back again! like, ever.... 

I'd rate this a 5/10.

I saw some red velvet cake and it was RM11.90 for one piece (a lot of cream and the portion is small) so, we didn't order that.

*We are only judging based on what we order, maybe there are other better choices, i don't know, friends kinda had a first bad impression already.
