Tony Roma

Who doesn't love a tasty, scrumptious and finger-licking good western dish? Well, Tony Roma definitely serves really delicious and good looking dishes!

Bread Sticks. Even the starters tasted soooooo good...somehow! AHHA

Prawn Salad.
THIS. WAS. #FOODPORN. The first bite of the big, fresh prawns coated with warm, spicy sauce. SO fresh and... wow. But I thought it tasted better if the sauce was cold. It would have a cold and spicy feeling. Yums!

Grilled Roasted Chicken and Fire Roasted salad.
The sauce in the small little cup was sooooooo good. This salad must be paired with that particular salad sauce. I'm not quite sure what are the 2 square pieces, but i'm guessing it's parmesan crisp or something like that. Tasted really good.

Strawberry Walnut Salad. RM19.90
Fresh Sliced strawberries with candied walnuts and feta cheese on fresh greens with strawberry vinaigrette dressing
Oh Mon Dieu! Super strong smell of the sweet strawberry sauce. A really nice twist yet "healthy" and delicious salad!!

Fish and Chips.
Many people won't go for this option. However, the breaded fried fish was SO tasty. Different type of sauces for you to dip your fish/fries in. Fries were perfectly seasoned (at least for me) less salt, healthy and tasty!

Steakhouse burger RM27.90
A grilled pure beef burger topped with demi-glace creamy Havarti cheese and rosemary beef bacon
My sister LOVES this. She say it's her favorite.

Beef Ribs and BBQ quarter chicken.
The sauce is very sweet. It goes really well with the ribs. The layer of fat and meat from the ribs melts in your mouth #foodgasm

Same dish as the above one except with different sides.

Shrimp pasta.
The prawn is big and so sweet!!! This dish tasted so light and it doesn't make it "jelat" (sick of it)

Birthday Lava.
We celebrated my cousin's 23rd birthday and they gave her a complimentary birthday cake!
The hot moist cake and the cold ice cream below was.....*speechless*
Tasted SO SO good.

The bill.
We had 10 people. For this price and that kind of dishes?? It satisfied everyone!

Overall, 9/10

Till then, have a great week!

Canton-i

OK, you might not know this about me but: I actually do not really fancy Chinese food. Except, maybe, chicken rice? I think my taste buds have been strongly influenced by Western or Japanese cuisine. However, there ARE some Chinese restaurants that I do enjoy. E.g. Canton-I/Dragon-I

Iced Jasmine Tea with Lemon Grass (RM11)
It looked & sounded really good. Tried it. Not too bad. QUITE pricey for tea and a few strands of lemon grass eh?

Honey BBQ Chicken and BBQ pork (RM16)
The reason why I ordered this is because of the chicken wings. Spotted it? Exactly. On the menu, this dish looked so good with the wings. Disappointed but I like their rice and gravy! So yums!!

BBQ pork and duck (RM15.90)
Their BBQ pork is so scrumptious. I guess some may criticize about the pricing and portion of this dish. The meat is not too fatty; just right.

Minced pork Chee Cheong Fun
It tasted alright. Nothing much to say about this dish. Not worth it at all.

Scallop and prawn fried rich (RM18)
Most expensive dish of them all. It tasted really nice and the fragrance of this dish is WOW. However, portion is a little bit small I guess. The few pieces of scallop tasted nice, chewy.

Overall, 7/10
I think Dragon-I (same company as Canton-I) has better varieties. Although they are bought under the same company, Dragon-I somehow serves better food.

Till then,
have a great week guys!

cheers

Ikea

The first time I tasted meatballs from Ikea, I knew I was going to be hooked on it....FOREVER! Ikea is not only famous for its meatballs served with delicious gravy and jam, but they do have other pretty decent food here.
Going to Ikea during the weekends (especially after 6pm) is the worst time to go. Crowd is crazy, line is long...BUT, surprising the line moves pretty fast. First impression of this place? Military style. You line up, order your food, they serve you as quickly as possible.
*oh p.s. This pictures are taken with the Blackberry 9320's 3.2mp :)

Chicken Thigh with mash potato and carrots. (RM10.90)
Quite delicious. I love their mash potato!! So good.

I've no idea what those 2 'patties' are. But they tasted like leftover potatoes and they mashed it up with other stuff. Quite hard to swallow that actually. The sauce went quite well with the salmon. However, sometimes the salmon tastes a bit odd (it depends).

This is the kid's pasta! Quite worth it. The last Sunday when i tried, they had a special for the kids meal. RM6.90 for the pasta, yogurt and a packet drink. SUPER worth it.

Popiah (Fried Spring Roll) RM0.99/piece. I loved it although some might not like this as it is left on the open tray for... a really long time. Tasty!

Almond cake. Did not like it. Too sweet. Weird.

Mushroom soup.
I love how chunky the soup is. So much wild mushrooms. Delicious when is served hot. You can also purchase a small bun (RM1) to go with the soup. Fab.

Last but not least, MEATBALLS.
15/pieces = RM14
20/pieces = RM17
I love love love love loveeeeee their meatballs. The gravy and the jam? wow! Goes so well with the meatballs. It's a #musttry if you visit this place!

Overall, 8.5/10
The reason why I would keep coming back here it's because of their affordable yet delicious dishes. So if you haven't try this yet....GO AND TRY. :)

have a great weekend ya'll!

Watami (part 2)

This is part 2 of Watami... in case if you've missed our previous post, you can check it out here ! :)

Watami is such an awesome place to dine. Nice & romantic kind-of setting! The previous review of Watami's set was RM90++, this time is only RM59.90++ for 2 persons!! *omgeeeeeeeeee*

1 piece of free nigiri sushi if you have the 'pinch a salt' card.
The menu has 5 parts; Appertizer, Sashimi & Sushi, Skewer & Hot plates, Noodles & Rice and Dessert.

Salmon and Maguro Carpaccio. Super delicious! The green sauce+freshly cut onions (underneath the sashimi) SO GOOD. worth it.

Ika Maruyaki (roasted squid). SUPER SUPER DELICIOUS. #mustorder so worth it!!!!!!

Tokyo Roast katsu Don (pork cutlet with scrambled egg rice in Tokyo style). This dish is quite a big portion. However, the pork tasted really...soggy and the raw egg on the pork made it worse. (wouldn't recommend this. p.s. I didn't even wanted to order this, friend's choice)

DESSERT!!!!!! From the left; Crème Brulee (Thin sweet crust on top-tasty), Sumiyaki coffee jelly (not too bad, quite nice, sweet+bitter), Macha Ice cream, and the maccha tiramisu (Y)-#mustorder
HOWEVER, i was disappointed as you can only order either the crème brulee, sumiyaki coffee jelly or maccha tiramisu AND macha, vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Quite sad that you can't order crème brulee and maccha tiramisu together :(

The below dishes are extras that you can only choose 2 from the RM59.90++ set that has UP to 50% discount.

Sushi Moriawase RM10.90 (original: RM20.90).

Gomoku Kamameshi (chicken and seafood pot rice)- RM15.90 (original: RM24.90)

#MUSTMUSTORDER. I was quite skeptical about this dish at first. Never fancied ordering chicken in a Japanese restaurant. BUT, this was soooooooooooooooo good! This dish boils the rice and other ingredients together! so you might have to be patient while waiting for the dish to be cooked. The steam coming out from the boiling hot pot and it's... CAN'T EXPLAIN. too good. seriously. must try!

Salmon sushi don- RM16.90 (original: RM10.90)
The brown sauce on the salmon pieces is SUPER gross. Doesn't taste good at all. They gave extra sauce...DO NOT USE IT! LOL hahahah unless you like it.

Overall, 9/10 based on these dishes. Really good. Depending on which outlet you go to, it definitely varies.
HAVE A GOOD WEEK!
stay tune peeps :D

Papa John & Pasta Zanmai

Yes, we know....We've been M.I.A. We apologize for the super-duper-uber late update/food review :( We've been super busy juggling both worlds-work and studies (exams, etc...)
Not the easiest route to take, but... WE STILL LOVE WHAT WE DO :)
Anyways, here is a bonus review for all you food lovers out there. This will be a special post: 2-in-1 !!!!!!
First: Papa John @ Ikano Power Centre
I think their spaghetti dishes are really....watery? The sauce was like... having cheap mushroom sauce on the spaghetti. And a lot of herbs that tasted weird. Really... gross. I think you should just stick to ordering pizzas. Papa John IS famous for pizzas.

BBQ Chicken & Beef (RM 21.90) ; 12inch RM 29.90
Tender Grilled Chicken, Beef Bites & Zesty Onions Combined with a sweet and tangy bbq sauce.
Tasted nice, however, portion is a little bit too... small? Couldn't really taste the meat!

Hawaiian Papa. Pineapples are a bit pathetic? only like 5 pieces. A lot of cheese though. 7 pieces for RM20 is not worth it and definitely not filling.
I'm not sure. Maybe it was just my luck for getting terrible pizzas that day.
Anyways, save the best for life right?

Second: Pasta Zanmai @ Paradigm

Kinoko no Cream Sauce pasta (Mini- RM13; Regular- RM20)
Japanese mushroom and Hot-spring egg cream sauce pasta. Tasted quite blend. I think the sauce a little too watery as well? with the mushrooms, made it even tasteless.

Salmon no Cream Sauce Pasta (Mini-RM16; RM26)
Salmon, Japanese mushroom and spicy cod roe cream sauce pasta. A little bit salty, taste different than the konoko. 3 pieces of salmon? quite sad.

Seafood cheese pizza (mini RM16; RM28)- prawn, squid and cheese
THIS. was the most shocking dish. ever.........

It's almost the size of a hand! OMG... not worth it at all. tasted OKAY.

Seafood cream soup RM13
Crust is quite thin. Look like chowder soup. Tasted quite good.

Seafood macaroni gratan (gratin) RM18
Most worth it dish ever. Cheap and filling. Seafood was good as well! But it's a bit too 'jelat' if you eat too much.

This was on promotion. Lobster and rice (can't remember the name). Tasted quite good but it cost RM27.

Overall, Papa John 5/10
              Pasta Zanmai 7/10

Both these restaurant has really good dishes. However, consider the portion and price, might be a little pricy... Anyways, up to you guys to decide!
hope you enjoyed this 2-in-1 post! :D
stay tuned peeps!2

Little Town

It's the end of a great week! And here's another review for you guys! Little Town has a few branches (if i'm not mistaken; another one is in 1 utama shopping mall). But this one is located at Cineleisure (after the curve)

I've tried the one in 1 utama, the food was better than the one in Cineleisure though.

Cashier/Drinks counter

Quite spacious.

Wanton Dry Noodles. RM8.90
Very plain. Just bits and pieces of chicken. According to sister, it's quite tasty. But, considering the price for this... Might as well go to some food court and order 2 plates of these, eh? More worth it.

Sweet and Sour Fish cutle. RM11.90
My mom ordered this and they told her that they "couldn't catch the fish". HAHA So, the dish was replaced with chicken. NOT BAD.

Apple Curry chicken. RM15.90 (Ramadhan set- not available anymore i guess)
Surprisingly quite tasty. Can't really taste much of the apple though... I thought it might taste weird, but it didn't... worth the try i guess

This came with the Ramadhan set.
Kurma (dates), the herb-kind-of-egg, and a weird looking 'salad'? lol

Roasted Braised Drums. RM15.90 Quite tasty but seems to be a little cold when they served us.

These came along with the Roasted Braised Drums.

Chicken Chop Noodle. RM11.90
This is my favorite dish among the (entire menu) dishes. Worth it and it's super tasty. Fried chicken tasted good. Noodles were good too.

Wouldn't come back for it AGAIN, unless I have to?
4/10 for this place.

2brokefoodlovers is the only place where you get the juiciest details of each dish (that we try)...Making sure that YOU won't regret what you order the next time! HAHA We write according to what our "taste buds tell us". LOL

Stay tune peeps! Have a great week!
