Food Talk

It's been awhile since I've updated my foodie journey :( But here's a special treat for ya'll patient people :D
So I've passed by this restaurant and have been dying to try here...It's called food talk @ ss2. Check it out!!!!

Left: Blue Sand Kiwi Soda RM6.90, Right: Milk tea with qq jelly RM5.90
-I loved the drink on the left, just because it taste weird but addictive! With this hot weather, you will enjoy this cold, fizzy drink travelling down your mouth to your stomach (Y)
-Milk tea taste a little like ChaTime but this one had more milk tea taste (Y)

Indo Mee with Chicken Chop RM8.90
-First time seeing an Indo Mee dish WITH chicken chop! The chicken was marinated so well that I could smell the dish before it arrived in front of me HAHA It doesn't taste dry at all and it has a tiny bit of spiciness. A pretty "high class" indo mee i guess! Wouldn't order this if you plan to have lunch or dinner...this would be suitable for supper :3

French Toast Peanut Butter RM4.90
-The peanut butter overpowered the toast which was awesome! It is crispy on the sides. However, I didn't really enjoy it as much because it was too oily and thus, making the bread a bit soggy and tasteless. It probably taste better if it weren't too oily.

Egg Mayo Sandwich
-Presentation makes the food look stunning.

Lobster Sandwich RM10.90
-I preferred this!!!!!!!! THIS WAS SO GOOD. I could taste chunks of lobster in the sandwich. Some may not like it but I always come back for this! The sauce for the lobster was good. Generally, the portion is pretty good. I was quite full after my last bite. If you're a sandwich lover like me, you might like this!

French fries RM5.90
-Generous amount of fries! Very worth it. BUT, it is a little too oily. Might need to reduce a bit of that eh?

Twister Fries RM8.90
- Loved it! Generous amount as well. You can go there and hang out with friends and order this. Super addictive!

Tester smth.... RM7.90
-Can't really remember what this was called but it looked interesting and decided to give it a try. Wouldn't recommend ordering this because if you are thirsty, this would be gone in one second. Although the concept is quite interested, but I wished the portion could be more/use a bigger test tube?

Sambal petai seafood rice RM11.90
-THIS IS TO ALL PETAI LOVERS. You should order this if you love petai. The petai smell is so strong! The sauce was a little spicy and you can taste the raw chilli. Worth trying only if you're into petai! LOL

Garlic Mantao RM4.90
-omgee they look so adorable! They taste really chewy and tasty but again, it is kinda oily. :(

Vege Waddan Yee Mee RM8.90
-A lot of sauce and enough flavoring. Surprising though, it didn't taste bitter at all even though it had lots of bitter gourd in it.

Oreo Millie Crepe Cake
-LOOKS and TASTE delicious!!! Would love it even more if it was served super cold! :D

Vanilla Mille Crepe RM8.90
-soft and fluffy! not super sweet but just nice!!! Must end your lunch/dinner/supper with their desserts!

Overall, 8/10
-They can improve in terms of making their food less oily.
As you can see, i've got a lot of pictures of the food because I've been there many times. I absolutely love their restaurant; feels comfortable and you can eat your food in peace. This place is most packed especially during the night time! Every time we feel like eating something at SS2, this would be the place I would go too :)

Address:
61-9, Jalan SS2/75, SS2, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Business Operation hours:
Monday-Sunday: 12pm - 1am

Stay tuned food lovers!

Tai lei loi kei

Mom decided to bring us to this restaurant because she heard from her friends saying it was good! I've walked pass this place a few times but it never really caught my attention. So we came here for dinner and it was pretty packed. Took a few minutes to reach the counter to order, the service was fast.

Polo pork chop bun

I liked the bun! But it seems abit weird to be eating it with the pork chop only, without sauce or anything else...

Same goes to signature pork chop bun as well, this bun was slightly harder cause it's sort of baguette-ish?

Sawdust cake
Their dessert was not bad!

Supreme pork chop rich with egg, this was just so-so.

We all ordered set, which came with drinks. The drinks was slight below average cause it was quite tasteless to me

Honestly I wouldn't return because it's just like bun and patty... maybe some of you would like it some of you won't, only one way to find out!

Quar/tet

Craving for some yummy french toast? Head over to quar/tet to enjoy it now!

Make sure you check the address before typing it in to waze (if you're using it) because we got lost on our way there because we pressed the wrong address LOL

This cafe is cozy and great for catching up with friends!

Display of cakes.

I really like the container LOL

I purposely ordered this for the sake of the bottle because.... it's pretty cool? LOLOL It's earl grey milk tea btw. I didn't like it at all because.... it wasn't sweet enough for me HAHA, maybe other people would like this... but I don't, not at all. I even added brown sugar in it hahaha

French toast. Must try! Really yummy :)

Ok bye,

Yama & J Fusion Sushi Buffet

This place is located at  Jaya One (above Starbucks). We bought the vouchers from Living Social...so this deal was SUPER (thank God) worth it. If i'm not mistaken, the deal was RM88++ for 2 person? The total bill was RM100. But we only paid RM2...for the refillable green tea. LOL

Appetizer: They only gave one dish for the appetizers.
-Some kind of seaweed. I LOVE THIS! Reasonable seasoning. (Y)

Edamame RM6
-This was pretty salty....but it was okay. It was inclusive of the deal anyway.

Miso Soup (RM5)
-Too much pepper. TOO MUCH. Taste like chinese soup but with a lot of pepper. Taste and flavor is there but....I didn't finish it. Only finished what's inside the soup and not the soup. LOLOLOL

Sashimi basket.
-THE ONLY WORTH IT DISH (from the deal) TO EAT IN THIS RESTAURANT. SO GOOD. I'm sorry, too excited about this particular dish. All the sashimi tasted so fressssshhhhhh and delicious! The butterfish....GOSH. so smooth and tasty. The salmon...THICK and FRESH. Juicy. Everything in this basket is SO delicious.

Mango Waikiki Roll RM29
>Fresh Salmon, avocado and crunch inside; topped with mango and red tobiko with chef signature mango sauce **uncooked
-This tasted pretty okay. Thankfully all the ingredients chosen tasted good together. A lot of rice though...sticky japanese rice. Super filling.

Salmon Martini RM43
>Tuna, white tuna and salmon slice in martini glass with chef signature yuzu wasabi sauce **uncooked
-This was the first dish to arrive. I thought it was pretty pricey if you just order this alone...thankfully this is refillable (in the deal). But I didn't like the sauce; the dish was "hot" and not cold. It was pretty hard to swallow with the sauce. Sorry! Only the sashimi was good.

Can't remember what this is...but by the time we ate this...I couldn't stand it anymore...everything was full of rice. The fusion of sauces were kind of weird.

Happy Sumo Roll RM43
>Inside with shrimp tempura, cream cheese and snow crab; outside deep fried with potato strip around on top; topped with chef signature yuzu, homemade eel sauce and strawberry sauce *cooked
-Not worth trying at all. Didn't liked the strawberry sauce with it. It tasted too......no....not tasty at all. Everything was just....not good :(

Overall, 4/10 for the dishes. 8/10 for the service. 9.5/10 for the sashimi basket.
I wouldn't go for this again unless they have an offer. The sashimi basket was the only thing that was seriously good. Some might love the fusion taste, but for me...I'd prefer something more simple and less complicated.

Dave's deli

Another new week; another new juicy review just for you! :D Today's review is on Dave's Deli. It's located at One Utama shopping mall. It's pretty near...isetan/ johnny's/ carl's junior.

The counter where you order your food and then pay :D

The restaurant is pretty spacious.

Quiche Salmon and Spinach RM16.90
-Doesn't this look amazing? The ingredients in the quiche is layered so perfectly. I guess RM16.90 is pretty normal for a dish like that. The quiche tasted pretty good. I could taste the salmon. The crust is crispy as well. Worth trying.

Roast Chicken 1/4 (breast) RM16.90
-I feel that this dish was "more worth it" compared to the other dishes of the same price. This one had mash potato which was soo gooodd! This dish was pretty delicious although I personally wouldn't order breast because the meat is a bit dry...which I don't like very much. But this was okay!

Beef Lagsana RM16.90
-This dish was cheesy and quite light (not jelak). Didn't like that it was such a small portion and it became less warm by the time I brought it to my table to eat. NOT BAD but small portion :(

Overall, 6/10
Their style of serving is kind of like Ikea's. However, they should really make sure that the food is warm/hot before served to customers. All the dishes taste better if served hot.

Stay tuned for moreeee ;)
