Burger Factory

Hello fellow foodiesssss, here's a review you don't wanna miss if you're a burger-lover but you're not sure whether to travel THAT far for THAT kind of food! LOL. Anyways, here it is! BURGER FACTORY!!!! Since the opening of MyBurgerLab, many burger joints started to open and have burgers similar to MyBurgerLab's! So check this post out and judge it for yourself! :D

Burger Factory located at Subang (quite near to Burgatory as well)
>Spacious! Loved it. One advantage over MyBurgerLab of course. BUT, let's see if their burgers are as good.

New Burgers.

Drinks/Cashier counter

Menu board

Honey Lemon Tea and Refillable Soda (from combo with fries and drinks RM6.90)
>It was nice that the waiter helped us refill our drinks, however, it was quite frustrating as well especially when they don't "see" your hands raised...

Aglio Olio with Prawn (RM14.90)
>Spicy and well seasoned but it looked wet. The prawns were not fresh (the taste was ewwkkk)

Bacon Razor (RM18.90)
-Grilled cheesy patty, crispy bacons, cheddar cheese, caesar dressing
> The black bun is sweet!!!!!! Definitely taste different compared to MyBurgerLab. The bacons were seriously...hard and crunchy! A bit burnt as well.. Personally, i wasn't wow-ed by it...Pretty pricey as well... not worth it :(

Hawaiian (RM13.90)
-Grilled beef patty, cheddar cheese, carmelize onion, sunny side up, spicy tomato, salsa, caesar dressing.
>First of all, the bun looks...cute? Overall, the burger doesn't look "instagrammable" like burgers from MyBurgerLab. I was quite annoyed that it was all messy and 10 fingers including my palms got dirty from the dripping sauces. It was unpleasant...If you wanna bring your date (first date), i suggest to NOT bring them here. Too messy. But if you like that kind of messiness, then...go ahead? hahaha In terms of flavor, the beef was like...no comment. I could taste the salsa sauce. But towards the end of the burger, i almost couldn't finish it.. This burger wasn't THAT great.

Texas (RM16.90)
- Deep fry chicken chop, cheddar cheese, carmelize onion, grilled pineapple, chicken pepperoni, ham, hickory smoke sauce, caesar dressing
>The fried chicken chop didn't even taste like it was fried; more grilled taste. Almost all the patties had not much seasoning. Luckily they didn't season it because the whole burger (overall) was already salty enough.

Foot long hot dog coney (RM15.90)
> Sausage was solid. At least they serve other than just burgers. Compared to The Grind Burger Bar @ SS17, this one looks more worth it. In terms of taste, i'd prefer the Grind's over this (My preference).

Ninja Burger (RM18.90)
-Deep fry soft shell crab, crab stick, cheddar cheese, japanese cucumber, onion ring, wasabi cream.
> Probably the most worth it burger among all the others! The whole soft shell crab in a burger??! (Y) woah. Meat was good, but salty also... We placed the wasabi cream at the side instead of inside the burger (always do that, seriously, you might not know what it taste like) THANK GOD it was the right decision. Don't think it suited the burger...however, the wasabi cream was quite mellow-ish?

They have other burgers like: The Boss (RM 25.90)- charcoal bun, grilled patty, grilled chicken breast, double cheddar cheese, pepperoni, bolognese, grilled pineapple, beef bacon, saute mushroom
Sumo Feast a.k.a Champion RM49.90 (3 types of patty; grilled cheese patty, grilled chicken breast, deep fry chicken chop and so on..)

Seriously? Honestly? I think it's so not worth it to pay that much for a burger... Might as well go fine dining at a Japanese restaurant also more worth it. REALLY... lol

Overall, 6/10 for having a spacious dining area and food comes pretty fast too. Other than that, i guess that was the final visit (for me).

HOWEVER, if you still choose to go there... here's the wifi password ^^ AHHAHA
Password: iloveburgerfactory

Stay tuned as we give you reviews that (hopefully) help you to choose your makan place wisely! (especially if you're bringing a girl out ;P ahhaha

Manhattan fish market

Went to mfm for dinner because we had this groupon deal :D

Drinks with cute names! Their drinks are a mixture of sodas and some other juices which I don't know... LOL

Soup of the day, pumpkin soup. Yummy!

Garden salad, it was pretty okay

Mussels served with bread This is a MUST order! The mussels are sooooooooo damn good and the bread was so soft! I fell in love with this! The bread goes so well with the sauce!

Scallop americana, this pasta is super yummy too! Definitely must order!

What I like most in this platter is the fried mushroom!!! The rice tastes pretty good too haha

Ended our hearty meal with dessert! It's not too bad actually!

Overall, we left with happy and satisfied tummy :) definitely worth it!

So obviously the most worth it meal is their set menu (above).

Bread for starters.
> I thought the bread choice was bad. It was hard and...not appealing. Though it looks good in the photo. Compared to Italiannies, Italiannies win! (starters only, lol)

Chicken Cordon Bleu (RM17.50 ala carte)
-Crumbed chicken breast filled with ham and cheese fried to golden brown
> I thought that it tasted really yummy though the crust looks a bit burnt. But nevertheless, food was delicious and plating looks really pretty!

Lasagna Al Forno (RM18 ala carte)
-Baked pasta layered between bechamel, chicken meat sauce and parmesan cheese.
> I know. First thing that comes to your mind, WTHECK IS THAT. lolllll looks like a deserted island in the sea. My sister ordered this and first few bites were...yummy, delicious. In the end, she couldn't finish it. She felt...sick. Too much cheesiness i suppose?? But it was filling.

Chicken Chop and Mushroom (RM17 ala carte)
- Lightly battered and deep-fried. Served with a mushroom cream sauce.
>Looks ok. I see no 'greens' :( It is important to make your dish look presentable-->appealing
Should have more 'colors' for this dish. I think it doesn't taste as good as it looks...by the time the dish reaches you, the chicken chop would have been soaked and soggy. eekk

Chicken Chop "Hailam" (RM17 ala carte)
-Topped with a 'Colonial Style' sweet and sour sauce.
>This dish is DEFINITELY for those who do not really like western? LOL My grandpa who loves chinese cuisine decided to order this. He said this dish tasted okay (for a guy who doesn't like western? the dish sounds pretty ok)

Fillet of Fish 'Lady Astor' (RM17.50 ala carte)
- Pan-fried, topped with pineapple and glazed with a horseradish cream sauce.
>I thought the name of the dish sounds really cute! So is the dish! Everything in this dish tasted really delicious as it feels 'light' and the pineapple definitely brings out the flavor and lightness of the fish.

Fillet of Fish "Caprice" (RM17.50)
-Pan-fried finished with a mushroom cream sauce garnished with fried banana.
>WHAT?! Banana+Fish? looks weird & awkward for that pathetic piece of lumpy banana... Would not order this. eee. unless, you insist :P

Chicken Piccatta (RM17.50 ala carte)
- Selected chicken breast dipped in egg and cheese and fried to perfection. Served with pasta and scented with rosemary jus.
> If all you care is about the quantity and you like pasta? This seems like a pretty good choice. It does look...filling!

Fish Teriyaki (RM17 ala carte)
-Pan-seared and finished with a teriyaki sauce
>Like i said, if you care only about QUANTITY. This also seems like a pretty good choice for you big eaters. But this dish doesn't really look appealing to me...looks like a chinese dish instead. (helllo, western please!)

Smoked Norwegian Salmon (RM23.50 ala carte)
-Served with traditional condiments and dill mustard sauce.
> Save the best for last! This dish looks wayyyyyyyyyyy more scrumptious compared to the picture description on the menu. And, if you're the 'typical Asian'.. you'll definitely order the most WORTH IT one..Am i right?? AHAHHA anyways, don't worry because after eating the other side dishes from the set menu, you'd be full...and TRUST ME, you will definitely regret if you didn't order this salad! (unless you're a super big eater then don't order this :p) Each piece of the salmon is SO THICK and JUICY and...ahhhh. SO GOOD. However, some of the vege is a bit bitter...no idea why la. But personally, this was the best choice to me!!!

Overall, 8.9/10 for only being available at Penang :( Because this place seriously serve really good food.
The 3 branches mentioned are located at:
1) New World Park
2) Tesco Tanjung Pinang
3) J.L Gourmet Cafe, Prangin Mall

If you need more info, just click this link! :) They have maps to their branches, menu and everything else!

Have a great weeeekkkkkkkkkkkkk!
Till then,
xx

Anak east coast

My mom bought a few groupon vouchers to dine at this newly opened restaurant, this restaurant wouldn't be hard to miss because you'll definitely pass by it if you go ss2!

To be honest, I wouldn't choose to dine here because it doesn't seem like they serve things I would eat, but since my mom bought coupons already, we went there for dinner. They have lots of table and the interior is quite nice.

So we ordered quite alot of food because we had a total value of RM60 to spend haha

Signature Nasi dagang RM8.50

This is pretty yummy! But I didn't eat much, but I loved the curry!

Nasi kerabu RM12.50
I think this is my second time trying nasi kerabu after a really long long time, & let me tell you, this is super duper yummy!!!! I loveeeed the rice! I would definitely go back there and have their nasi kerabu!

These were the only 2 pictures I managed to take because the we just gobbled down the other food cause we were too excited/hungry haha

(picture taken from groupon)

Hainanese fried noodles
This is yummy as well! Mom & I loved this, something different from the usual dry noodles.

Signature thai laksa
I didn't really like this because of the type of noodles they used. It was kinda spicy for me as well.

Fried fish noodle
My brother LOVED this, but it was okay for the rest of us.

Signature mini dumplings
This is really yummy as well!

Peanut paste
This was yummy, but there were some undissolved paste? But I guess it's okay! ahha

Overall, I would definitely return because it's pretty cheap for some decent food especially the nasi kerabu :D
